Glazed Yeast

This morning, I stopped in at Pepper's supermarket for a couple of items, and happened to pass some boxes of doughnuts. Of course I stopped to greet the doughnuts, it being Sunday and all.

On the boxes, however, these were not called doughnuts. They were called, instead, "glazed yeast rings."

Doesn't that sound appetizing?

So, did they lose a sale by labeling them as such or did you spring for the "glazed yeast rings"?

I took a break from my usual bowl of cereal and made strawberry muffins. Yum!

You know, when I was living in England as a 5th Grade boy, from the US, I will never forget seeing a product called 'clotted cream' which is the British word for fudge. Well it sounds as yummy as 'glazed yeast rings.'

Oh yeah, the first time I went to China in 1996 and we were in Hong Kong for a few days before entering Mainland China, I remember going into a "Circle K" with Jose Ramirez, JDPSN because he wanted to get something to drink. In the sports drink section we came across a 'Gatorade' like product but it was called merely, "Sweat."

This reminds me of the story of Won Hyo going to china I think and he drinking from the skull. Anyway, thanks for sharing and bringin up all my old images. Time to return to know and go to bed.
