I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with fireworks. I live in the country so we've always done some of our own, both on the 4th and on NYE. I love to see them, but they make me nervous.
It's SO dry around here this year I'm a little relieved that none of my kids are here to set any off. Besides, it always stresses out the dogs to the max.
My son brought my husband a HUGE firework called "bling-bling" for Father's Day. We're saving it until after a good soaking rain.
Against the law to do fireworks in the city limits around here. Some idiot kids still do and I make sure I water good the night before. Heard a few last night, actually.
We pile in the car and find a spot to view the closest firework displays.
